1. A Fiery Christmas Negroni 🎄
My dad’s personal favourite cocktail ever is a Negroni 🎅🏻. We tried to spice this up last year for Christmas and it’s safe to say this Christmas gin cocktail is a win for all the Negroni lovers out there.
The Negroni cocktail is a simple one, with equal parts of Campari, London Dry Gin and Vermouth garnished with a twist of orange peel. To add a Christmas twist to this cocktail, we swapped out Vermouth for Cinzano Vermouth Rosso. Cinzano Vermouth Rosso adds lovely Christmas notes of black cherry and vanilla.
Finally, to add some fire to Christmas gin negroni, we added an orange slice, a stick of fiery cinnamon, and star anise. This definitely adds beautiful delicate aromatic flavours of Christmas to the cocktail.
Fiery Christmas Gin Negroni Recipe
- 30ml Campari
- 30ml Sir John Conyers London dry gin
- 30ml Cinzano Vermouth Rosso
- Garnish with an orange slice, a stick of cinnamon, star anise
2. Sugar Plum French 75 🎄
My mother’s favourite Christmas gin cocktail is the French 75, a classic cocktail for one classy lady! This cocktail never goes out of style and it’s my mother’s favourite cocktail to serve at a party. This prohibition-era drink is served with prosecco, lemon juice, and London dry gin.
To make this a little more “Christmassy”, we swapped the prosecco for Champagne and also add a sugar rim and garnish with a slice of lemon. Very sugar plum of us 🍬.
French 75 recipe:
- 30ml Sir John Conyers London Dry
- 60ml champagne
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Sugar & lemon juice for the Rim of the glass
- Garnish with a slice of lemon
3. Ginger Ricky 🎄
My husband loves a ginger beer 🍺, but he loves it even more paired with our Rhubarb gin! Ginger is such a festive spice and is muddled in two of our gins. Ginger reminds me of everything Christmas and makes a perfect Christmas gin cocktail. This cocktail is a very simple one, but stunningly delicious!
Ginger Ricky Recipe:
- 60ml Sigurd Rhubarb Gin
- 200ml ginger beer
- Garnish with a cinnamon stick
4. Gin Espresso Martini 🎄
My best friend is obsessed with espresso martinis ☕️, it’s her favourite cocktail all year round! However, having said that, she consumes many more espresso martinis during the Christmas season. I once served her a gin espresso martini with our London Dry gin and she absolutely loved it. She makes this now at every Christmas party! I also know what Christmas gin gift to get here every year…
Gin Espresso Martini Recipe:
- 60ml Sir John Conyers London dry gin
- 15ml coffee liqueur
- 30ml freshly brewed espresso
- 15ml simple syrup
- Garnish with 2 coffee beans
5. Spiced Gin Hot Toddy 🎄
My personal favourite is a Gin Hot Toddy. This is my go-to gin Christmas cocktail as I love a warming cocktail during the winter ❄️! This warming cocktail is also a personal favourite when feeling a little under the weather for a little pick me up.
The hot toddy is another simple Christmas gin cocktail, but will leave you warm and toasty inside.
Gin Hot Toddy Recipe:
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1tbsp orange juice
- 35ml Sir John Conyers London dry gin
- 60ml of hot water
- Garnish with an orange slice & a stick of cinnamon for spice
6. Christmas Gin & Tonic 🎄
My mother-in-law is a very classy lady and doesn’t need overcomplicated cocktails. The Classic G&T will do, of course, served in a beautiful crystal gin glass! Her current flavour of the month (or year, should I say) has been our Strawberry & Mint gin 🍓. To turn this into a Christmas gin cocktail last year, she added lots of mint and a slice of lemon. Mint is one of my favourite herbs and is very refreshing during the Christmas season, where it can get overly sweet!
Christmas G&T Recipe:
- 35ml Sir John Lambton Strawberry & Mint Gin
- 200ml premium tonic water (e.g. Fevertree)
- Garnish with mint leaves and a slice of lemon
7. Mulled Gin 🎄
My father-in-law 🎅🏻 prefers a warming drink like me. He used to love mulled wine until I showed him this lighter, more refreshing, alternative! Now it’s his got to Christmas cocktail! Our London Dry, which uses botanicals such as orange peel and rosemary, works really well with the festive spices. It’s super easy to make. All you need to do is heat up all the ingredients until the smells start to become prominent and then strain into a glass.
Mulled Gin Recipe:
- 50ml Sir John Conyers London Dry
- 100ml cloudy apple juice
- 2 tbsp honey
- Cassia bark, cinnamon stick, cloves & star anise
- Garnish with orange peel, fresh clementine slices, & a cinnamon stick
